The Fifth and FINAL

Hurricane Isabel Party
'Lots of Thank-You's'
Thanks to Patricia Press for taking the fish fry idea and making it work.
It was a pleasure working with her on the combined Hurricane/Fish Fry party.

Thanks to the great planning committee that included Patricia, Charlotte Zajak,
Sheri Ackerman and Betsy Detwiler.  We couldn't have served up such delectable
fish without all of Charlotte's hard work preparing the fish and frying it -
with help from Patricia and Charlotte’s family/friends. Charlotte was in her
element!   Sheri's handling of all things money related and Betsy taking care of the
chicken made it all come together.
And we can’t forget all the hard work that
Ellie Dotson (Jerry’s daughter) put into setting the tables and hand writing all
of the 50/50 raffle tickets.

Music provided by Brenda Moore was the icing on the cake.
Thanks to everyone who made this happen and into such a success.
Almost $200 will be donated to the Calvert County Red Cross.
We hope to never need a hurricane "anniversary' party again.  Next year it's a
Fish Fry (Patricia willing) and a hurricane drink in thanks for missing another one.

To paraphrase two lessons learned from Joe’s speech:  accepting help from
others is just as important as giving it and you always have something to give,
your company.

 Thanks

Mary and Joe Klausner

DID YOU KNOW??
Nearly 95% of the land in Maryland drains to the Chesapeake Bay

What We Do Matters!
Our landscapes are connected to the Chesapeake Bay.   Prevent pollution and runoff with a healthy yard.

You can help the Bay and
improve water quality by using Bay-Friendly Techniques with
your own home landscape.
These techniques reduce the biggest pollutants in the Bay, sediment and nutrients,
(nitrogen and phosphorous), by restoring natural filters.
